Technically Speaking All in on IT
I have been running Windows Defender Beta 2 for a couple of days now and I have noticed one strange behavior . . . it does not appear in the systray when running. I have looked for it continuously, and I don't see an option in its preferences for hiding\showing it in the systray. The Windows Defender service is running so I know it is on! Now, heaven knows, we already have a ton of things running in the systray and we certainly don't need another – but being it there gives you the little reassuring feeling that it is actually running. LOL... I was thinking the same thing yesterday after I installed it.

It's just not as mentally comfortable not having the systray icon there...

I'm glad I'm not the only one weirded out by this behavior.

Just last night, I was poking around in the Windows Defender Options hoping to find an option that allowed me to display it in Systray. I would like to see that feature added in the next revision.
