This falls in the category of “I wish I had thought of this”:

The idea: turn his home page into a billboard made up of a million dots, and sell them for a dollar a dot to anyone who wants to put up their logo. A square of 10-by-10 pixels, roughly the size of a letter of type, costs $100

I remember reading about this when it first came up several months ago, and thinking that it was an interesting gimmick, but wasn't going to actually work.  Boy was I wrong!  I really need to learn to think more outside of the box.
