Check out this article based on Apple's "The Beat Goes On" special event.
First big deal: new iPod Nano:
NICE! Although, to be honest, I don't really use mine for much video viewing...the screen is pretty small, and the nano screen is even smaller...but still...that device is just a nice package.
But then...
Then what? It's an iPhone. OH NO IT ISN'T! This is the new iPod Touch, which is basically the iPhone but without the phone component. AND it comes with wi-fi. That's right, an MP3 player that comes with wi-fi, something that Mobile 5 phone makers couldn't do with a communication device (yes, I'm bitter). Think of this scenario:
You're out and about, you have a wi-fi connection, and you hear a song you like somewhere. You browse iTunes on your phone, download the song, and voila: instant gratification.
The device will also come with Safari on it (um...can I install Firefox instead?) and a few other apps it looks like.
Very kewl stuff coming out of Apple...Christmas is just around the corner you know.
