Feel free to Break-Up

Saturday, June 10, 2006 9:31 PM

Went to see the new Jen Aniston/Vince Vaughn movie “The Breakup” tonight. Way better than the reviews gave it credit for. It was a comedy...and yet...not. There were times where you started off laughing, then realized that they weren't going for funny shortly there-after. But it was a great movie...more of a case study on how men and women are different and how they communicate with each other.

SNL really should have new shows year round. Tonight is a repeat of Jack Black and Neil Young from Christmas time...one of the better ones from this year too. Seriously, what does the cast do with all that time off? None of them are making any movies of note (do NOT tell me that Fat Albert counts as a legit movie...and pray that they don't make a sequel), and considering how un-funny the skits have been this season, it can't be that difficult to come up with new ones every week. But I'm being mean now...there have been some highlights. Those digital shorts crack me up...weekend update is still funny week in/week out...but man, they need to get some good regular characters in their skits. That's what's missing from years past.

Still really enjoying JPod...still wacky...people-smuggling, Subway diets, and bikers have been added to the mix...too funny.

I finally understood where the name Poland came from. Its from how their soccer team keeps hitting the goal poles! Zing! Go Mexico Go!
