After my 2 cents worth earlier I also discovered this detail courtesy of Alessandro at Vitrulisation.info Microsoft will use Virtual Machine Manager as desktop broker for VDI Despite it's not considering Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDIs) ready for enterprise deployment, Microsoft is embracing the technology pretty fast, modifying the Windows Vista licensing to be VDI-friendly. At WinHEC 2007 Microsoft reveals even more, disclosing upcoming System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) will act ......
Hi All, I had an Integrator ask me for the details on how they could solve the MS Licensing dilemma around a relatively simple (??) VMware XP SP2 Desktops being delivered from an ESX VMware Server. As this was essentially a VDI scenario I found it somewhat interesting that this info didn't appear to be readily available. As I knew that Prudential UK was listed as a Success Story by VMware at http://www.vmware.com/custo... I was able to find that a chap called Andy Ruby was ......
As per normal I was looking for something else entirely but happened upon this little gem. As I don't have a MAC it's not much use to me at the moment, unless of course I start layering way beyond good sense and load Fusion on to the MAC I'm running in VMware under the XP Desktop? Yeah.. it does get knid of messy real quick, best to leave that for another time? ;-)) How to install Longhorn Reloaded using VMWare Fusion in OSX - a complete walkthrough This tutorial is for anyone with an Intel based ......

In the US these devices are used by Wal-Mart and fitted to the Fork Lifts, this way the driver can scan in the Pallet details through to the ERP system even while moving from Cold Storage to Truck Dock and back ......
So we have managed to get some rather nice press here in Australia in an interesting story in Tuesday's Australian IT newspaper about the security benefits the Australian Red Cross has gained from deploying the Neoware M100 thin client notebook...... From a Technical perspective I have so far successfully tested the following PCMCIA Data Cards: Telstra NextG Turbo Card - MF332 Hutchison 3G - Merlin XU870 Vodafone - Huawei E620 If you, or a Customer, has an interest in Neoware's M100 Thin Client and ......
So a few people I have spoken to have asked me recently why the switch to Neoware after Citrix? Well, let's just say that the decision to leave Citrix wasn't made by me.... So that leaves... why Neoware? Well, when I weighed up all the positives that I uncovered during my research in to them I was quite impressed with what they have managed to accomplish in the last 5 - 7 years, as well as what they are doing now to grow the business. Some highlights of these details are: 63% CAGR over the last 5 ......
