Using the OWSDateField
As a developer wanting to create a WebPart that needs a date picker everybody will tempted to use SharePoint's date picker. Unless you know how to use it you are going to run into a couple of gotchas. Basically everybody initially stumbles, trying to find a way to get it to display. Google Deskbar
I am sure most of us are still high from the MSN Deskbar, but here is a little more intoxication. Google has a Deskbar too. Here is the link. They even have an API for writing plug-ins for it, and guess which language you get to write plug-ins in. Its .NET now isn’t that cool ......

My New Favorite XP App

I found this cool application called Visual Task Tips today.

It shows you a preview of the running app when you hover your mouse over the its task bar entry like on Vista

Netcraft June Survey: IIS catching up to Apache
A Netcraft June Survey shows that IIS is catching up to Apache quite well. Neowin.net has the scoop. Excerpt "The number of hostnameson Windows servers grew by 4.5 million, giving Microsoft 29.7% market share, a gain of 4.25% for the month. Alonso dominates Silverstone
The Silverstone GP 2006. Alonso just dominated it. An interesting race, not as controversial as Monacco but interesting nevertheless. I really was expecting a better fight from McLaren though, but like Kimi said the car just wasnt fast enough. Maybe next time. Honda also hadnt improved much since Monacco.
