Interesting resource. But System.Web.Mail has been deprieciated in favor of System.Net.Mail as of .NET 2.0. Microsoft promised from the get go to have email functionality across the entire platform. Why it was comfined to an ASP.NET namespace, I don't know.

Its one of those difficult questions in life.
"Mail has nothing to do with the web (its not http), so why did it land there in the first place?"
Unfortunately as with all questions of this nature, I have no answer ;)
