Tangible Thoughts SharePoint, MOSS? and all the other questions

Most gamers probably consider Valve a household name, along with Gordon Freeman, and Black Mesa. So what impression is on the top of the minds of most HL2 fans?

I guess it’s somewhere close to ‘this Source Engine is absolutely awesome’. Most of us probably already think that the Source Engine could be a defining moment in FPS games, but that could all change.

BattleField 2 from DiCE comes out next month (June 23rd to be exact) spurting out graphics to rival what Source is capable, and shares the same Havoc engine for physics. On top of that there is BF2 also brings multiplayer support for 64+ players (100 rumored) with vehicles. I know most of you are going to scream “lag!!” but hey, they are doing it anyways. It could also bring in several niceties that HL2 lacks like going prone, peeping round corners (which I cant imagine why Valve left out).

Battlefield 2 looks like the ultimate multiplayer war game. I mean just look at these models.

My only gripe is in being an avid HL2 fan all my senses are shouting at me claiming that its not made on Source. On that line, if anyone can point out an HL2 mod that brings in BF2 multiplayer game play to HL2 I am willing to give it a shot.

FWIW, BF2 does not use Havok, it uses an iterated BF42 physics engine.

Oh but I beg to differ,
check the link next to my name on this reply.

It could be that Gamespy is wrong though

Ah, well I don't know which producer Gamespy spoke to, but the statement isn't correct. There's no Havok code in BF2.
