News.com reports that Macromedia is being taken over by Adobe

What has me in a tangle is what is going to happen to the product line especially for graphics editing. On one hand we have Macromedia with Fireworks, Freehand, Flash and the other we have Adobe with Photoshop, & ImageReady.

At an adobe presentation in Hamburg for HDV editing, I was flabbergasted with the project program interactivity that adobe provides users with in the interoperability of their different programs. If adobe does not butcher Flash&Co., then the new hybrid will, no doubt indeed, be exuberantly high.
