Since the 2012 Transit of Venus is the last transit of Venus across the face of the Sun as viewed from Earth, for many years, being able to locate a web cam feed that will be in clear daylight for the whole of the transit period. So far I have only located one.

Historically the transit of Venus was very important for determining the absolute size of the solar system, however high power radar has allowed direct measurement of distance at any time.
