Next month there will be a transit of Venus. These occur as pairs a few years apart. I remember the last which was in 2004. I was able to watch the start of it using some welder's glass to protect my eyes. I watched the end of it using a web cam from a telescope in Norway. Currently I am looking for a list of telescopes for this year similar to the 2004 list at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=17
